Ian Wright Children: Meet His Eight Sons and Daughters
· adam
Ian Wright has eight children: Shaun, Bradley, Brett, Stacey, Bobbi-Lee, Coco, Lola and Roxanne. The former Arsenal and England striker’s best-known sons are footballers Shaun and Bradley Wright-Phillips, while his younger daughters Lola and Roxanne are from his marriage to Nancy Hallam. His family returned to the spotlight in October 2026 when he visited Shaun during rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing.
How Many Children Does Ian Wright Have?
Wright has publicly discussed being the father of four sons and four daughters. His family includes children from earlier relationships, his first marriage to Debbie and his current marriage to Nancy Hallam.
The eight names commonly identified in profiles and his own account are Shaun, Bradley, Brett, Stacey, Bobbi, Coco, Lola and Roxanne. Bobbi is also reported as Bobbi-Lee. The variations in her name do not refer to two different children.
Some family members have established very public careers, while others have remained outside the entertainment and professional sporting spotlight. That difference explains why there is much more detailed coverage of Shaun and Bradley than of their siblings.
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Shaun Wright-Phillips is Wright’s adopted son. His mother is Sharon Phillips, Wright’s former partner. Wright adopted Shaun when he was a young child, and their father-and-son relationship has remained a prominent part of both men’s public stories.
Shaun became a professional winger, establishing himself at Manchester City before playing for Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers and clubs in the United States. He also represented England, including at the 2010 World Cup.
His career was built on pace, balance and direct running. Manchester City supporters regarded him as a leading academy success during an era before the club’s more recent title-winning years. He retired from playing in August 2019.
Bradley Wright-Phillips
Bradley is Ian Wright and Sharon Phillips’ son and Shaun’s younger brother. He also became a professional footballer, developing a career as a striker rather than following Shaun’s position on the wing.
Bradley played in England before building an especially successful period with the New York Red Bulls. The club credits him with 108 goals in 195 regular-season appearances, making him its most prolific league scorer.
He won the MLS Golden Boot twice and later played for Los Angeles FC and Columbus Crew. In 2022, he returned on a one-day contract to retire as a Red Bull and took a role as special assistant to the sporting director.
His achievements helped make the Wright family recognisable across both English and American football. Although frequently introduced through his father and brother, Bradley established an individual legacy through his own scoring record.
Brett, Stacey and Bobbi-Lee
Brett is another of Wright’s sons and has generally maintained a lower public profile than Shaun and Bradley. Public family accounts identify him as a child from an earlier relationship.
Stacey and Bobbi-Lee are Wright’s children with his first wife, Debbie, also referred to as Deborah. The couple married in 1993. Their relationship later ended, and Wright has discussed that period in his autobiographical writing.
Being part of a recognisable football family has not meant that every sibling has pursued the same public career. There is no need to assume that a child has followed a parent into elite sport simply because two brothers became professionals.
Coco, Lola and Roxanne
Coco is one of Wright’s daughters from an earlier relationship. Public information about her is relatively limited, and she is not generally part of the regular football or television coverage surrounding her father.
Lola and Roxanne are Wright’s daughters with Nancy Hallam, whom he married in 2011. They are the youngest children commonly named in accounts of his family.
Nancy and the girls have largely maintained a private family life alongside Wright’s broadcasting work. Their place in the family is publicly known, but their everyday routines are not a regular feature of his professional appearances.
Ian Supporting Shaun on Strictly in October 2026
The family attracted fresh attention when Ian visited Shaun’s Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals during the programme’s third week. The segment aired on October 10, 2026, and showed him expressing pride in his son.
Shaun is partnered with professional dancer Alexis Warr. His move from football to ballroom competition has introduced him to viewers who may not remember his Premier League career.
The appearance highlighted a familiar family dynamic in a different setting: Ian encouraging his son while Shaun attempted a demanding new discipline. It was a television moment involving an adult child, rather than a new addition to Wright’s family.
A Football Family Across Generations
The sporting connection extends to D’Margio Wright-Phillips, Shaun’s son and Ian’s grandson, who also became a professional footballer. He represents a third generation of the family associated with the game.
Even with that legacy, Wright’s family is broader than its football careers. His eight children include public sporting figures and relatives who have chosen quieter lives. October’s Strictly appearance offered a recent glimpse of the support connecting them.
